Hi Everyone,
Happy hump day and thanks so much for reading the ADULT SEX ED newsletter! If you’re enjoying it, please share with friends, so they can be hilariously informed!
This is a weekly newsletter from me, Dani Faith Leonard , a comedy writer, film producer, and performer. It’s an extension of the live comedy show ADULT SEX ED that I’ve hosted since 2018. The show is about plugging the holes in our education as adults, so I’ll be doing just that (if you want to know more about this newsletter, here’s a description on substack). Ready to get a little smarter? Okay, let’s go!
In the 1994 movie Milk Money, three young boys pool their money and pay a sex worker named V (Melanie Griffith), to strip for them. She drives them home to the suburbs, her car breaks down, and she decides to stay in order to hide from a mobster. Classic ‘90s movie that would never get made today, and not just because of the plot holes. In my favorite scene, Melanie Griffith’s character sneaks into a classroom through a window and helps deliver a rowdy sex ed lesson with questionably drawn anatomy.
If someone snuck a sex worker into a school to teach sex ed in real life, we’d probably never hear the end of it. Parents would physically assault the administration the way they only do at little league games. Ron DeSantis would liquify, leaving only his high heeled boots behind. But, what about a sex worker designing the curriculum?
You’re in luck. Just yesterday, there was breaking news out of Godly, Texas (a town with a perfect name) that the school district removed a woman from multiple roles, including oversight of sex-ed, after discovering that she currently works as an escort and had two prior convictions. The woman, Ashley Ketcherside, is also known as Lola Brea. The school insists that prostitution isn’t the only issue—it’s an overall lack of oversight.
There are some obvious issues. Apparently, she’s had a couple of convictions in the past that no one noticed before her position on several committees was approved. In Texas, it is legal to use an escort website, but as soon as the money is exchanged for sex, it becomes prostitution. On one website I found, she describes herself as a “sweet cute spinner” and “a true girl next door!” Her reviews are pretty great and date back a decade.
I’m not judging the woman or the decision to remove her from committees. But would it really be such a big deal if a Texas district in a town called Godly had someone who likes to fuck writing the curriculum? That would obviously never happen. But this story sure is entertaining.
School-related sex scandals are an American pastime. The Mary Kay Letourneau story dominated news cycles and stayed in the zeitgeist for a long time. I’m obviously not comparing a statutory rape case to a PTA mom turning out to be a convicted escort, but it falls under the same type of news umbrella. There was also the Missouri teacher, Brianna Coppage, who resigned after discovery of her OnlyFans account, which she was using to supplement her income. At the time, I remember the online discourse appropriately being about how shitty we pay teachers that she was resorting to OnlyFans! She now does porn full time and her only fans bio reads, “Yes, I'm THAT teacher.”
In real life, students often have crushes on teachers (anecdotally, it was the English department in my high school that got the most love). Of course, creepy teachers are a trope at best, and actual criminals at worst.
School Fantasies & Teacher Fetish
Exiting real-life scenarios for a moment, school-based fantasies are part of our culture. There are student/teacher sexual relationships in movies and TV shows like Wild Things, Easy A, The Piano Teacher, Gossip Girl, Pretty Little Liars, and Election. In other movies and music videos, the sexy teacher or sexy school girl trope is played up for our enjoyment, like Bad Teacher, Van Halen’s ‘Hot for Teacher,’ and of course, ‘…Baby One More Time.’ (There are so many more to choose from, so please leave your favorite in the comments below!)
So why is this a cultural obsession? Both the scandals and the fantasies?
There is no specific term for a teacher fetish, but it falls under the BDSM umbrella. Teacher/student BDSM scenes are one of the most popular role play scenarios and a very popular porn category. It makes sense: a teacher/student relationship naturally falls into the dom/sub dynamic. Relationships with teachers are forbidden in real life, and therefore taboo. There are obvious storylines about teaching or learning lessons, punishment, and sexy school uniforms.
It’s unlikely that we’ll ever have sex workers designing the school curriculums by design, but you can pay for some extra curricular education as an adult. Just save up your milk money.

Teacher-student is great, and it works both ways. The teacher can be the wise one giving the student a lesson, or you can reverse the roles, which is great for BDSM and femdom. Have the school girl use her charms to seduce and blackmail the teacher and make him her after school play thing. It's a popular them in porn.
